Continuous Sucker Rod

Continuous Sucker Rod is a new product. It is a semi-elliptical steel rod in seven sizes or a round one in three sizes named for their equivalent round cross-sectional areas; the rods rages from 3/4 in.to 1 1/8 in.(19-28.6mm) in increments of 1.6mm.The rod string, a quenched and tempered fine-grained structure, has mechanical properties equivalent to API "D" grade sucker rod specifications and SM, SMR,SU and SUR for special service. Tapered rod strings are fabricated by flash-butt welding one size to the next, and designed using a computer program based on API RP 11L modified specifications. Complete fabricated rod strings are transported to the well site on 5.5m diameter trailer-mounted reels, which are angled on the trailer to conform to highway regulations.
